Ambiga is a suspected criminal, Hannah. Having her around ruins your credibility

Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad voiced his dissatisfaction over Segambut Member of Parliament (MP) Hannah Yeoh’s continued address to the media regarding the Taman Rimba Kiara issue.

But the bigger question is what business Ambiga had attending Hannah’s PC when her own credibility is shrouded in ambiguity following the MACC and police reports I lodged against her.

On the 10thof February 2019, I lodged a police report against Ambiga and Tommy at the IPD in Subang Jaya seeking investigations under the Official Secrets Act 1972 and Section 97(1) of the “Akta Bank dan Institusi-Institusi Kewangan 1989 (ABIK)” over some document leaks.

The documents in question were banking secrets that pertained Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim’s personal details and his dealings with Bank Islam that Tommy leaked from the bank with the assistance of a banking official while he still was the bank’s lawyer.

Tommy then handed over the secrets to Ambiga, who went on to leak them to Saifuddin Nasution, Rafizi Ramli and Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

TANJUNG MALIM: Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad voiced his dissatisfaction over Segambut Member of Parliament (MP) Hannah Yeoh’s continued address to the media regarding the Taman Rimba Kiara issue.

According to Khalid, Hannnah’s actions had the effect of confusing the people and were hurtful and embarrassing to him.

“I inherited this problem, and I am trying to do my best to solve it,” Khalid was reported by The Star Online as saying.

“To make statements that I am being an apologist to the developer and that I represent private interests and not public interest is hurtful,” he said.

“I am not an apologist to anyone.

“What I am trying to do here is protect public funds. People are saying to me just pay (compensation) the developer, and that DBKL has a lot of money.

“But that’s public funds we are talking about,” said Khalid  after chairing a press conference in Putrajaya on Thursday (16/50).

Khalid was referring to a press conference (PC) that Hannah called together with C4 executive director Cynthia Gabriel and former Bersih chairperson Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan.

During the PC, held yesterday, Hannah questioned why Khalid had failed to consult Attorney General (AG) Tommy Thomas regarding the matter as it involved compensation.

Khalid responded by saying he would be getting round to it.

“We are in the process of submitting the cabinet papers, and the papers will eventually have to go to the AG as well, and he will have to give his comments too.

“I am trying to do my job, and it is very disappointing to hear all these comments and excuses being made about me in the media,” he said.

“As for Cynthia and Ambiga, I don’t know how many times you have gone and met the residents (in TTDI), but you have not met me even once,’’ he said.

True.

As a matter of fact, the bigger question here is what business Ambiga has attending such PC’s when her own credibility is shrouded in ambiguity following the MACC and police reports I lodged against her.

It is peculiar that she was at a PC that questioned Khalid’s failure to communicate with the AG when one of the reports I lodged against her outright accused her of colluding with Tommy Thomas to commit a crime.

On the 10thof February 2019, I lodged a police report at the IPD in Subang Jaya seeking investigations under the Official Secrets Act 1972 and Section 97(1) of the “Akta Bank dan Institusi-Institusi Kewangan 1989 (ABIK)” over some document leaks.

The said documents were secrets that pertained Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim’s personal banking details and his dealings with Bank Islam that Tommy leaked from the bank with the assistance of a banking official while he was still the bank’s lawyer.

Tommy handed over the secrets to Ambiga, who, in turn, handed them over to Saifuddin Nasution, Rafizi Ramli and Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The documents became the basis to a 90-plus page dossier that led to Khalid Ibrahim’s eventual ouster as Selangor Menteri Besar.

A second report was also lodged against Ambiga at the same police headquarters on the same day regarding an allegation by Sarawak Report Chief Editor Clare Rewcastle Brown that Ambiga told her of the RM90 million Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak was alleged to have channelled to PAS’ “top echelons.”

The allegation was contained in a Defence and Counterclaim (D&C) statement Clare’s lawyers filed at the High Court of Justice in London on the 11th of October 2017.

I told the police that Ambiga was key to all investigations into the matter as all she had to do was confirm or deny the allegation made by Clare in the D&C.

I added that the Special Branch unit in Bukit Aman was in possession of audio evidence that confirmed Ambiga lied to Clare and that the whole “Najib paid PAS’ “top echelons” RM90 million” story was concocted by Ambiga.

A similar report was also lodged with the MACC two days prior.

Given all the above, it is a wonder that Hannah expects people to take her seriously when her choice of a “partner in the fight towards justice” is the very person who stands accused of subverting the previous Barisan Nasional government by committing crimes and distorting truths.

As a matter of fact, the person Hannah seems to be championing, Tommy Thomas, is the very person Ambiga stands accused of colluding with in 2014 to subvert yet another government, this time, the Selangor state government.
