TTF: “Takkanlah kahwin hari ini, esok dah boleh beranak (It’s not as if if one gets married today, you can already give birth tomorrow),”said Mordi, to which the Dewan Rakyat erupted in laughter (see news item below).
Well, to Mordi, I say this:
“Takkanlah pakai kondom nak harapkan anak lagi.”
Yes, Pakatan Harapan leaders are akin to men who believe that wearing condoms is the way to go about populating the planet.
They’re putting unnecessary “caps” on government spending by alleging that the national debt is RM1 trillion.
But the more you hold back on budget surpluses, the higher the risk that you’ll plunge the country into a serious recession.
And when the country is in recession, the economy will ultimately suffer and fail to provide you with “more children.”
So perhaps the answer to Mordi’s question is for Pakatan Harapan to remove the huge condom it’s wearing that’s preventing the economy from “spurting.”
KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat’s proceedings in the earlier part of the day proved a stark contrast to last week’s events, which was a heated affair.
However, it did not mean that it was entirely devoid of witty one-liners.
Datuk Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) is no stranger to controversy, and is well-known for his outspoken take on subjects.
Bung Moktar, during the debate on the royal address, took the floor by questioning whether Pakatan Harapan (PH) was ready to govern the country.
He said PH appeared to still be in ‘opposition mode’. PH ministers, he said, must discard statements which suggested that they are still behaving like they were still in the opposition.
He said this, coupled with PH making various promises that remain unfulfilled, show that they did expect to actually win the 14th General Election (GE14).
“PH did not foresee that they would win. They are not ready to govern. Just ask Iskandar Puteri, their mastermind,” he said in reference to PH lawmaker Lim Kit Siang, who is also the DAP supremo.
Mordi Bimol (PH-Mas Gading), however, had a ready answer for the BN man’s jibe on PH’s slowness in implementing its 100-day manifesto.
Mordi asked Bung and the BN members to be patient.
“Takkanlah kahwin hari ini, esok dah boleh beranak (It’s not as if if one gets married today, you can already give birth tomorrow),”said Mordi, to which the Dewan Rakyat erupted in laughter.
The response also drew a good-natured grin from Bung Moktar.
Clearly trying to repress his own laughter, Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon then announced that the session would break for lunch.
