Yesterday, PKR Semporna Branch Chief Mohd Amin Abdul Mem voiced dissatisfaction that Salleh’s alleged acceptance as member at the Kota Belud Branch was not discussed with the Sabah state PKR leadership.
Mohd Amin said he was shocked upon learning of Salleh’s ‘acceptance’ and cautioned PKR not to easily accept former UMNO leaders.
Yesterday, Utusan Online confirmed Salleh’s registration as PKR member on the 25thof August 2019 and claimed that his registration number was S0300008562.
The disclosure runs contrary to Anwar’s claim that the former UMNO MP’s application is being considered and information delivered to TTF by a source that Anwar was on a drive to lure UMNO MPs into PKR.
SUBANG JAYA: Parti Keadilan Rakyat has yet to consider former Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak’s application to join the party, claims its president, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
At a news conference held in Shah Alam, Anwar, flanked by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, told reporters that the party’s political bureau has not discussed the matter yet.
“We received the application from him, but have not discussed it at the (political bureau) meeting,” the Malay Mail Online quoted him as saying.
According to MMO, Salleh said he chose to join PKR because it is a multiracial party that is in line with his political stand and the political environment in Sabah.
