TTF: You’re quite the tongue twister, Anwar.
According to you, your friends asked you why you chose Port Dickson instead of Permatang Pauh to launch your premiership.
So tell me, why did you?
It is immaterial if you choose to ‘look after’ Permatang Pauh should you end up becoming Prime Minister.
What your friends are basically asking you is the reason you’re launching your premiership from a platform that’s very different from the one that launched your political career.
Why can’t you focus on the question?
PORT DICKSON: Incoming PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has promised to look after his old constituency, Permatang Pauh, when he becomes prime minister.
“Some of my friends came to me and asked why did I choose Port Dickson? They said they had been working hard for so long, through many ups and downs with and for me in Permatang Pauh, and when it’s time for me to become the prime minister, I choose Port Dickson instead,” he said at a high tea with the community, here, this evening.
“But, once I am chosen as the prime minister, I will not only look after Port Dickson and Permatang Pauh, but also the whole of Malaysia.”
Anwar added that he would never sidelined any quarters in the community, regardless of their background, religion or race.
Present were Parti Amanah Negara vice-president Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa and DAP national vice-chairman M. Kulasegaran.
