Anwar is sinking Pakatan Harapan further into the abyss

The problem is Anwar is he keeps daydreaming, convincing himself that Members of Parliament, who left Pakistan Harapan just to get away from him, can be conned into accepting his leadership. Source (pic): TTF Files

PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has denied endorsing newly minted Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin or the Perikatan Nasional administration.

The denial, made through Facebook, came after several quarters suggested that a recent meeting between the duo was an endorsement and attempt by Anwar to lure Muhyiddin and PPBM back to Pakatan Harapan.

TTF will address Anwar’s meeting with Muhyiddin in an article due on Saturday, touching also on options available to Muhyiddin in bracing for the imminent collapse of government.

Suffice to say, whatever the future holds, there is no version of it in which Anwar comes out on top and forms government with Muhyiddin, as anything with Anwar in the equation is widely rejected and doomed to fail.

SUBANG JAYA: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has denied endorsing newly minted Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin or the Perikatan Nasional administration.

The denial, made through Facebook, came after several quarters suggested that the meeting between the duo was an endorsement and an attempt by Anwar to lure Muhyiddin and PPBM back to Pakatan Harapan.

Anwar is also thought to have been responding to criticism by suspended women’s chief Haniza Talha.

Yesterday, Haniza asked why she had been suspended for meeting sacked party deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali when Anwar got off scot free meeting Muhyiddin.

According to the PKR president, the meeting was necessary for him to seek an emergency Parliamentary sitting to address the Covid-19 pandemic and the government’s stimulus package, which itself is nonsensical.

On Tuesday, TTF pointed out that a parliamentary sitting would contravene social distancing guidelines and risk mass infections given the closed ventilation system employed in the Dewan Rakyat and the sitting arrangements involved.
