PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is being taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for treatment.
The PKR leader complained of shoulder and back pain after coming back from Turkey on Saturday (June 23), said PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil in a brief statement.
He added that an ambulance was transporting Anwar to the hospital from his house in Bukit Segambut.
Fahmi, however, said that Anwar was in stable condition.
Anwar underwent surgery on his right shoulder at Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) in November last year.
He had been suffering from continuous pain in his right shoulder, which worsened after a car accident on Sept 22, 2017.
