In short, the article pointed out that Malaysia is in its present state due to Mahathir and that leaders such as Mahathir should never be allowed to come to power: “…it is important for Malaysians to learn their lessons from the experience of being with leaders like Mahathir to ensure that no such evil leaders surface in future in this country.”

On 11th September 2013, Anwar Ibrahim said in his blog that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is Malaysia’s worst Prime Minister.
In paragraph two of that article (see below), it said, “It is easy to see why and sympathise with Malaysians for being hoodwinked by the sly and cunning Mahathir. He had obviously charmed them by coming across as a person who cared for Malaysians and their concerns.”
The posting goes on to say, “This makes a sheer mockery of democracy and a grave travesty of justice, that he lives like a dictator and can get of scot free from any form of punishment. It’s amazing as this is the complete opposite of what BN and especially UMNO seem to champion for Malays and Malaysians.”
Mahathir’s Machiavellian and exploitive ways are revealed in this paragraph — “While Mahathir in his heart couldn’t care a damn what actually happens to the Malays, he made sure he was able to come across as the champion of the Malay struggle. He made use of the votes of the Malay heartland to come to power and stay by painting a false image that he was looking out for the Malays.”
The most important question today would be: has Anwar changed his views about Mahathir since the last four years and if so why? And if Anwar still feels the same about Mahathir as he has always felt, then why this charade about wanting Mahathir to be the interim Prime Minister? Is this because Pakatan Harapan is not able to garner enough Malay votes to win GE14 and they are hoping Mahathir will do that for them?

It is easy to see why and sympathise with Malaysians for being hoodwinked by the sly and cunning Mahathir. He had obviously charmed them by coming across as a person who cared for Malaysians and their concerns.
