Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to be present at Bukit Aman tomorrow to have his statement recorded after being summoned to do so by the police.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the PKR president was called to assist police investigation into the claim that he had 121 names of Members of Parliament who supported him in his bid to become the Prime Minister.
Several police reports have been lodged against the Port Dickson MP, including by Jerantut parliamentarian Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris, on Oct 8.
KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to be present at Bukit Aman tomorrow to have his statement recorded after being summoned to do so by the police.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the PKR president was called to assist police investigation into the claim that he had 121 names of Members of Parliament who supported him in his bid to become the Prime Minister.
“I was informed as such (that Anwar would be called to Bukit Aman tomorrow),” he said in a short reply to Berita Harian today.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, who is Federal Criminal Investigation Department deputy director (investigation/legal) when contacted said Anwar had been informed on the matter.
It was understood that Classified Criminal Investigations Department (USJT) of Bukit Aman will be recording the session at 3pm.
Earlier this week, the police had decided to postpone the appointment to another date.
