Anwar, what about evidence suggesting you forged share certificates?

TTF: Anwar, a kleptocrat is, by definition, a ruler who uses his (or her) power to steal a country’s resources out of sheer greed.

It follows, that if you were referring to Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak (see news item below), let me remind you that he was never a ruler, but the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

But just for the sake of discussion, let’s for a moment consider that he was indeed a ruler.

Under the circumstances, not only is there no evidence to suggest that he stole the country’s ‘resources’, he is as innocent as a nun doing squats in a cucumber field until he is proven guilty.

You, on the other hand, are nowhere near innocent.

As we speak, there is evidence to suggest that you issued fake share certificates to certain individuals and companies during your term in office as Minister of Finance.

As a matter of fact, there is even evidence to show that you were complicit in forging some critical financial reports related to the nineties forex scandal.

The first implies greed on your part as the forgeries came with benefits.

The second implies the same and has everything to do with the country’s resources.

Accordingly, should you become Prime Minister, you would automatically earn the designation of ‘kleptocrat’ and would be answerable for crimes under the same initiative that brought several world banks to heel.

So quit talking about kleptocrats having your Sungai Buloh cell.

As far as I can tell, the Prison’s Department should keep the cell doors open at all times for someone like you who persists on criminalising others but forgets to count himself in.

PORT DICKSON: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibahim, Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) candidate in the Port Dickson by-election, said political leaders who steal from the people will be brought to justice under Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s administration.

Speaking at a dinner banquet in front of 3,000 people tonight, Anwar said in jest that irresponsible and corrupt leaders can have his old cell in Sungai Buloh prison.

“We cannot allow our leaders to be arrogant or take advantage of the common people.

“That is why PH, be it Keadilan (PKR), Pribumi (PPBM), DAP or Amanah, have agreed for Tun Dr Mahathir to be in charge of the nation as he is firm, and those who steal money (from the people) can have my old cell in Sungai Buloh,” he said, as the crowd roared with laughter.

Anwar said the alleged misappropriation of funds in the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) and 1Malaysia Development Berhad were among the abuses by the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) administration.

Earlier at an event, in front of the Port Dickson Municipal Council complex, Anwar also joked that he could be a consultant for former leaders who are prison-bound on how to survive incarceration.

Anwar reiterated that he intends to do his best for the people of Port Dickson if he is elected.

“I want to do my best for Port Dickson and all of Malaysia as well,” he said.

The 71-year-old PKR president-elect is running against six others to return to Parliament and gain legitimacy as PH’s next in line to succeed Dr Mahathir as prime minister.
