Yesterday, a secretariat formed by government agreed to the formation of three new committees to ensure the streamlining of policies between government-linked parties.
This was revealed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a press conference following the secretariat’s first meeting.
The three committees named were the strategy committee; the election committee and the monitoring committee.
The strategy committee, according to Anwar, will be tasked with countering lies.
However, the secretariat that decided on the committees itself represents a big fat lie.
Yes, there is no unity government.
The government we have today is just that – a government
Unless, of course, you factor in Pakatan Harapan’s failure to secure a majority during the general election and its willingness to form government together with previous foes, in which case, you can call it a ‘mixed government’, or even a ‘coalition government’.
But certainly not a ‘unity government’.
If it were a unity government, there would be no opposition. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can tell you that.
So how can Anwar’s ‘unity government’ be in charge of countering lies, when the government itself is the epitome of lies?
