
PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali showed up at a special thanksgiving prayer in Section 7, here, this evening.
Azmin declined to comment when he was asked about his no show at the party’s three-day Central Leadership retreat in Port Dickson.
Earlier today, PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he had personally invited Azmin to attend the party’s retreat at last Friday’s cabinet meeting.
SHAH ALAM: PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali showed up at a special thanksgiving prayer in Section 7, here, this evening.
The economic affairs minister arrived at the official residence of the menteri besar at about 7.10pm, accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Shamsidar Taharin, and other family members.
A horde of PKR supporters swarmed Azmin. They greeted him and shook his hand as soon as he got down from his car.
Azmin declined to comment when he was asked about his no show at the party’s three-day Central Leadership retreat in Port Dickson.
“Eh… Later… later. Let me pray first,” he said before he was ushered into the prayer hall by party supporters.
The special thanksgiving prayer session, held over his victory in rejecting politics of slander in the sex video scandal, was attended by more than 300 party supporters.
Earlier today, PKR secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he had personally invited Azmin to attend the party’s retreat at last Friday’s cabinet meeting.
Met after the retreat concluded today, Saifuddin said Azmin had prior commitments and he respected that.
