TTF: Actually, this rumour of Azmin being expelled from PKR (see news item below) isn’t a rumour per se, in that Anwar Ibrahim did have serious discussions with certain people on the need to boot Azmin out.
Frankly, I’m not too bothered if Azmin remains in PKR or is thrown into the sea, though sources have indicated that his expulsion is imminent.
What concerns me most is the reason they’re going to give when expelling him from the party.
What is Anwar going to say?
Is he going to say that Azmin was expelled for being too close to Dr Mahathir, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Pakatan Harapan leader?
Under the previous Barisan National government, can you imagine what would have happened if Liow Tiong Lai had expelled Wee Ka Siong for being too close to Najib?
See where I’m going with this?
Let’s see the excuse they’re going to cook up when booting Azmin out of PKR.
SEPANG: PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali today dismissed rumours that he had been expelled from the party.
“Many rumours are being circulated now by irresponsible people. To address this problem, we must not believe the rumours, especially those circulated via new technology (platforms) such as the social media,” he told reporters here.
Azmin, who is the Economic Affairs Minister, had earlier launched Malaysia Airlines’ Project Amal that provides special charter service for Haj and Umrah pilgrims.
Rumours had circulated on the social media, including Facebook and Twitter, since last night that Mohamed Azmin had been expelled from PKR.
