The probe into Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali’s case for flouting a quarantine order after returning from abroad, has been classified as ‘no further action’ (NFA).
Bukit Aman criminal investigation department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the plantation industries and commodities minister was not issued with the 14b Form which necessitated a 14-day quarantine under Section 15(1) of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
Khairuddin, who is also Kuala Nerus member of parliament, had admitted to violating the compulsory two-week isolation period by attending the recent parliamentary sitting soon after returning from Turkey.
Malaysians returning from abroad and other nationals who are permitted to enter the country must undergo a 14-day compulsory quarantine even if their first Covid-19 test upon arrival came up negative.

“As such, the Attorney General has decided not to go ahead with the case as there is no solid evidence to establish the charge,” he said a t press conference today.
Huzir was replying to a question by reporters on the case’s update following the submission of investigation papers to the AG Chambers.

Previously, the Health Ministry had issued a compound against Khairuddin on Aug 7.
He apologised for the issue and pledged to donate the salaries he received from May until August this year to the government’s Covid-19 fund.
