Yesterday, PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man called for the ban by arguing that DAP leaders had undermined the principles of statehood and the Federal Constitution.
Ironically, Anwar had nothing much to say about the content of the comic book which was clearly offensive to Muslims and pro-communist.
It has been said that Deputy Education Minister Teo Nie Ching had given the go-ahead to Hew and book publisher Asia Comics and Cultural Museum to distribute the comic book to Chinese type vernacular schools.

Yesterday, PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man called for the ban by arguing that DAP leaders had undermined the principles of statehood and the Federal Constitution.
Tuan Ibrahim’s call followed disclosure that DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had penned the foreword message in the controversial Belt & Road Initiative For Win-Winism comic book written by Hew Kuan Yau, since banned.

According to Anwar, it was dangerous to “teach” the new ruling government to ban a party.
“I think PAS still follows the old way of thinking, asking for ban. That’s old politics,” said Anwar.
“It is also dangerous for PAS. So, don’t,” he said after opening the 6th Seminar on Bangsa Malaysia in Kajang on Saturday (Oct 26).
