Crowd of hundreds throng streets of Bukit Bintang to catch a glimpse of Najib and Rosmah

An all-inspiring, star studded theatrical program titled “Malaysia Baru yang stailo” livened the streets of Kuala Lumpur last night across the road from Lot 10 in the Bukit Bintang area.

The event, conceptualised and created by popular actress Ellie Suriaty Omar, was graced by former Malaysian premier Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

The already festive atmosphere that regularly meets night dwellers around Lot 10 suddenly turned euphoric the minute Najib arrived as throngs of people crossed the streets to catch a glimpse of the former premier.

Within minutes, the crowd multiplied into a party of hundreds with many singing praises of Najib and Rosmah.

TTF was at the scene since 10 pm and spoke to several people regarding their views on the current political climate and what they thought of Najib.

Every onlooker we spoke to expressed regret at the predicament he was under and accused the present government of waging a political vendetta against him without legitimate basis.

One onlooker expressed concern that Pakatan Harapan failed to deliver on its pre-electoral pledges and swore never to be misled by the media again.

Ellie, when met, told TTF that the event was to raise awareness among the people of negative elements that seeped through mainstream culture and is now threatening to destabilise the Monarchical Institution and the country.
