DAP man Dr Boo Cheng Hau has called on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to resign as Prime Minister for running down Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) election manifesto.

According to FMT, the DAP man also hit out at PPBM for accepting former Umno MPs and urged the PH leadership to speak out against the practice.

JOHOR BARU: A DAP man has called on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to resign as Prime Minister for running down Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) election manifesto.

According to online news portal Free Malaysia Today (FMT), Johor state committee member Dr Boo Cheng Hau found fault with Mahathir over the latter’s reference to the manifesto as “a guide, not a bible,” saying the statement displayed a lack of confidence by the Prime Minister in himself or the manifesto.

“It is silly self-degradation for some PH leaders to profess that there would not have been any change of government without Mahathir’s leadership.

“Those who have made such unfounded and misleading statements have admitted their incompetence and should likewise step down from all their official positions,” Boo was quoted as saying.

While I do agree that Tun is incompetent, the DAP is attempting to shift its own incompetence onto Tun given that a bulk of manifesto pledges Lim Guan Eng and Anthony Loke themselves admitted couldn’t be fulfilled were pledges made by the DAP way before Mahathir got entangled with the party.

According to the portal, the DAP man also hit out at PPBM for accepting former Umno MPs and urged the PH leadership to speak out against the practice.

This isn’t the first time Boo has gone on the offensive.

On the 23rd of January 2019, he accused the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government of cronyism, in light of the controversial appointment of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia’s (AIM) new chairman, who is the wife of the prime minister’s political secretary.

“Couldn’t the government find any qualified talents and professionals without strings attached to the powers-that-be out of the 32 million Malaysian population?” he asked in a statement posted in his Facebook page.

Boo alleged that the PH leadership made no effort to reform government but allowed UMNO’s ways to manifest themselves into PH culture and policies.
