Racism seems to be flowing in the veins of many DAP leaders.
Sometimes, I wonder if the DAP has racism in its blood or blood in racism, of if it is an entirely new species where racism is its blood.
Earlier today, Sarawak DAP chief referred to Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s (GPS) support for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition as “naieve and ridiculous.”
Actually, I am ok with that, as from what I have been told, many in GPS were unaware that the coalition’s “big brother,” Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PPBB), had agreed to enter a Memorandum of Understanding with PAS and UMNO.
The fact that GPS has declared its support for the federal ruling coalition but claims not to be involved in an official capacity reeks of hypocrisy and irony.
As former Sarawak PKR Chief Baru Brian aptly put it, “you can’t have the cake and eat it” at the same time.
The distribution of power is also irregular, as many of the other component parties within GPS were not represented at federal level.
But to say that is was “naive and ridiculous” for GPS to think that the Umno and PAS-led federal government would do any good for Sarawak is racist.
It would not have been racist should Chong have limited his narrative purely to the administrative performances of the two parties in the states they represented.
But Chong was all about race and religion.
“No amount of allocations, even if there are any additional allocations, can compensate for the destruction that such a combination would do to the fundamental social structure and system of the country.
“What GPS has done now by supporting the Umno PAS government is not only putting the corrupt regime back in power but at the same time GPS is putting the religious bigots in PAS in power, which is definitely a threat to the secularism of our Federal Constitution and Sarawak’s social structure,” he said.
These words made everything else that this DAP youngster said thereafter irrelevant, and proved, that not only is Sarawak DAP racist, racism seems to be the core essence of its existence.
It puzzles me why the DAP finds it so hard to shed its racist aura…
