Did The Malay Mail not receive funds from Barisan Nasional?

Lim Kit Siang’s political secretary impressed upon us last Thursday that Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election (GE14) fair and square.

According to Syahredzan Johan, Najib displayed no remorse and was trying to become the next Anwar Ibrahim.

But the lawyer forgot that Najib has yet to be charged with crime and has absolutely no reason to be remorseful about anything.

Despite it being 38 days since Pakatan took over, Mahathir has yet to present us with evidence that the RM2.6 billion that ended in Najib’s account was money stolen from 1MDB.

THE THIRD FORCE

Lawyer Syahredzan Johan took a swipe at Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak last Thursday following a recent blog posting shared by the former premier. The 35 year old Bar Council member, now Lim Kit Siang’s political secretary, claimed that Najib displayed no remorse and was trying to become the next Anwar Ibrahim. Syahredzan implied that Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election (GE14) fair and square and deserved the right to rule Malaysia.

See how this fellow spins?

GE14 was stolen by Dr Mahathir Mohamad and gang on a platform of lies. While Pakatan kept Barisan Nasional (BN) busy on the World Wide Web, a group of cybertroopers from the Red Bean Army (RBA) undertook to viral fake pictures via WhatsApp and We Chat demonising both Najib and his wife. These pictures depicted the duo as shopping for gold in India, some even coming with captions that read, “This is where our GST money is going.”

The tactic proved successful and had people in frenzy. Mahathir repeatedly gave assurance that Pakatan would prosecute Najib the minute the coalition was brought to power. But despite it being 38 days since Pakatan took over, he has yet to present us with evidence that the RM2.6 billion in Najib’s account was money stolen from 1MDB. The delay has prompted people to question if Pakatan made stories up regarding Najib and 1MDB.

So here I am, asking you guys – why would Najib need to be remorseful about anything? Evidence presented by The Third Force proves beyond any measure of doubt that Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz conspired with Ambank to sabotage both Najib and 1MDB. A paper prepared by current MACC Chief Dato’ Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull in 2015 shows clearly that the former Bank Negara Governor knew about the RM2.6 billion and even advised Najib to park the money in his account.

Is Syahredzan not aware of this?

Is he not interested to discover why the MACC has yet to call on Zeti or the Managing Director of Ambank Jalan Raja Chulan? Did it not strike him as weird that the person who reopened investigations into the RM2.6 billion transfer, Shukri Abdull, is the very person who concluded that Zeti knew the identity of the donor? Why is he bent on basking Najib under the spotlight, when clearly, the former premier did what he did only because Zeti told him to do so?

Syahredzan’s piece was highlighted by The Malay Mail Online (MMO). The paper took a swipe at me by branding me “a component of the BN election machinery.” Does the MMO now feel that everyone should ditch democracy and support a one party dictatorship under Mahathir? Is it not true that the paper received funds from Barisan back when the coalition was ruling the country?

Or am I wrong?
