Tebrau Member of Parliament and Datuk Seri Azmin Ali loyalist, Steven Choong Shiau Yoon, is said to be on his way out of PKR along with three to five other MPs from the party.
Steven, who previously served as deputy secretary general of PKR, is said to have received an “irresistable offer” from Gerakan which is ‘set’ to join Perikatan Nasional soon after he hops on board.
According to an insider, this is the main reason a former Gerakan leader accused party president Dominic Lau of being an embarrassment to the party.
TTF is made to understand that the MPs leaving PKR along with Steven may also join Gerakan, simultaneously delivering Perikatan Nasional an additional three to five seat advantage against Pakatan Harapan assuming everything falls in place.

This, according to an insider, is subject to the outcome of some ongoing talks which seem very ‘positive’ at the moment.
According to him, this is the main reason a former Gerakan leader accused party president Dominic Lau of being an embarrassment to the party.
On Sunday, Jason Loo labelled Lau as a ‘stupid person’ who lacked the political acumen needed to steer the party effectively.
“Stop his craze for publicity now because he has publicly disgraced the party.
“He has no political acumen. He has no political direction. He has no political consideration. He has no plans. He has no strategy. He has no idea.
“He wasted much of the time necessary for the revival of the Movement. We cannot waste our time on him,” Loo claimed.
Loo added that Lau was an opportunist who had no idea whatsoever what needed to be done for the party and constantly relied on other leaders.
