Anyway, now Wan Azizah is the Top Dog of the opposition pact and the opposition pact is now called PKR and not PH. The opposition pact has to be seen as PKR and not DAP because they need a Malay face and Wan Azizah is that Malay face. Furthermore, in 2014 Wan Azizah had already said she is prepared to be a puppet-on-a-string and that is precisely what DAP needs, a puppet-on-a-string.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat. (Sun Tzu: 545-470 BC)
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has maintained an even keel and has been on the same course these last three years — and has been gaining ground with each and every move — while Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been zig-zagging and moving forward and backward whenever each of his moves fail.
Najib plans and then moves. Mahathir moves and then re-plans. And that is why while Najib has just one plan, Mahathir has Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, and so on until Plan Z. And Mahathir himself admits this when he said if Plan A fails he will come out with Plan B.
If you fail to plan you plan to fail. And Mahathir moves like a bull in a china shop. While Mahathir had the illusion that he was in control of the ball, in reality Lim Kit Siang and DAP are the ones deciding how the game is played. And that is why from a DAP-led Pakatan Harapan, the opposition pact has been transformed into a DAP-controlled PKR.
GE14 is a Malay fight with PKR as DAP’s proxy and Wan Azizah their puppet
Mahathir appears to not realise he was merely a convenient tool for the opposition pact to use to hit Najib, Umno and Barisan Nasional. And now that the so-called ‘Malay Tsunami’ cannot happen after all, they no longer need Mahathir. Hell, even Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said a Commission may be set up to investigate Mahathir if the opposition pact comes to power (READ HERE: Wan Azizah not ruling out possible Commission to investigate Mahathir if Opposition wins GE14).
Mahathir thought he had a plan and knew what he was doing. And just because Najib kept silent and did not utter a single word Mahathir interpreted that as Najib conceding defeat. Mahathir forgot the Malay saying, diam-diam ubi berisi. Najib was merely doing what the Malays would call ulur tali. The English will say giving you the rope to hang yourself.
Of course, there were times when Najib also fired some shots. But they were well-calculated and well-aimed shots, not like Mahathir’s random and blind shots. And Najib knew which were the ‘nerve centres’ to hit. You hit that ‘nerve centre’ and Mahathir would melenting and melatah.
