KUALA LUMPUR: The Gagasan Tiga (G3) non-governmental organisation has presented a to-do-list it believes the government cannot ignore so as not to aggravate what it sees as the boiling tension of the Malays.
The list called the Ampang Declaration 2019 and based on the Rukun Negara outlines several demands, especially the need for a more equitable distribution of funds based on racial composition.
Other demands include asking the government to halt all insults against the Malay Rulers and enforcement of the law without political influence.
If the government fails to do so, G3 chairman Raggie Jessy Rithaudeen claims that the group will rally supporters to go against the Pakatan Harapan government.
“It has come to a point where enough is enough,” warned Jessy as he pointed out to events which he claimed to be examples of the government’s alleged disregard of the Malays.
These include the death of firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd. Kassim during the riots at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple near Putra Heights in late November and the transfer of some Tabung Haji shareholdings in companies and non-performing assets to a special purpose vehicle.
