Following is a rejection letter dated 23 January 2015 from DoE for the project in Lengkok Lembah Permai, Tanjung Bungah, where the killer landslide happened.
The reason is very clear in this letter. Active quarry too close to the project site.
And yet, the Penang Govt approved the project and allowed the project to proceed.
Anyone looking at photos of the area can see there is something wrong and you should not be building 2 blocks of 50 storey buildings there.
