Guan Eng denying himself opportunity to prove innocence

Eric See-To

Congratulations to Lim Guan Eng and his platoon of lawyers for successfully getting Guan Eng’s corruption team postponed yet again for the umpteenth time.

This time it is postponed from Aug 7th to Nov 14.

Guan Eng was charged on July 1st 2016 – more than a year later, the corruption case has yet to have its first day of actual hearings and testimonies.

This is because Guan Eng keeps challenging the MACC act as unconstitutional. He has already lost at the high court but is now appealing at the Court of Appeal that the MACC act is unconstitutional.

His lawyers have already said that even if they lose this appeal, they will continue to appeal again at the Federal Court.

Due to this, his actual corruption case cannot start.

Which is why I am 150% sure that even this November 14th new date will yet again be postponed.

Guan Eng had repeated many times to the public that he is looking forward to the court hearings so that he can prove his innocence and clear his name.

However, his continuous challenges which causes his trial to be postponed repeatedly means he himself is denying himself the chance to prove his innocence.
