High chance DoJ will request Rosmah’s extradition to the US

There is a high chance that the United States (US) Department of Justice (DoJ) will seek the extradition of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in the coming weeks to facilitate investigations into 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

A source from the US familiar with the matter claimed that former Goldman Sachs banker Ng Chong Hwa aka Roger Ng may just have spilled the beans regarding Low’s alleged associations with Rosmah, 1MDB and a former Goldman Sachs Managing Director, Tim Leissner.

A 3rd of November 2018 statement by Malaysia’s Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Seri Amar Singh Ishar Singh confirmed that Ng had been arrested and would be extradited to the US to face charges.

Last Thursday, the US DoJ announced that it had unsealed a three-count indictment against Low and Ng in the Eastern District of New York’s federal court on counts of having conspired to launder about US6 billion embezzled from 1MDB and to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by paying bribes to both Malaysian and Emirati officials.

TTF was made to understand that Leissner spoke extensively of a token sum that was channeled for the purchase of luxury items having to do with the wife of a high ranking Malaysian official who the US authorities are looking to meet and question.
