#TTFCovid19: Hong Kong recorded no new cases of Coronavirus infections today, the second consecutive day without new cases and the 14th in a row free from local transmission, health authorities revaled.
On Tuesday, State Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced plans to reopen government offices and several public facilities.
According to Bloomberg, government employees will start returning to offices on the 4th of May 2020 with facilities such as museums and libraries reopened to public.
But the Centre for Health Protection is cautious, calling on people to maintain social distancing as far as possible, adding that they should go out less and avoid social activities like meal gatherings.

According to the South China Morning Post, an earlier five-day streak without infections ended on Friday when two individuals returning from Pakistan were tested positive.
“Given that the situation of Covid-19 infection remains severe and that there is a continuous increase in the number of cases reported around the world, members of the public are strongly urged to avoid all non-essential travel outside Hong Kong,” the Centre for Health Protection was quoted as saying.

The move by Hong Kong to reopen came the same day New Zealand emerged from nearly five weeks of strict nationwide lockdown.
