On the 11thof January 2020, just two days ahead of the Kimanis by-election, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali told a crowd of over 300 people that UMNO was a party that steals from the people.
And we’re talking the 11thof January 2020 here, not 2019, 2018 or even 2017. That’s barely six months ago.
Azmin told the crowd that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who he recently had breakfast with in Chini, was a person with no shame.
“Today there are thieves and robbers in Kimanis.
“Even bossku is here… tak tahu malu punya orang (this person knows no shame),” he said, referring to Najib’s “Malu Apa Bossku” tagline.
Azmin added that Umno leaders, including its president, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, would end up in jail, and questioned the loyalty of Barisan Nasional’s Kimanis candidate, Mohamad Alamin.
The by-election came and went, and the “thieves and robbers in Kimanis” won. Then, in a sudden twist, not even two months later, Azmin shook hands with the same “thieves and robbers” to form government.
In the process, he leapt over from one former Prime Minister (Mahathir) to another before having breakfast with the ‘new’ former Prime Minister, a man he once referred to as a “thief and robber.”
And today, he tells the rakyat that Mahathir failed the people while having breakfast with very man he previously swore heaven and earth had failed the people.
It must have been the breakfast…
