PKR is issuing a show-cause letter to Muhammad Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz later today for his alleged involvement in a sex video.
One can’t help but wonder why PKR would resort to such drastic measures when the correct thing to do would be to call Haziq in for an inquiry.
To say one minute that his actions ‘damaged’ the party leadership and for the leadership itself to deny knowing him is as contradictory as it is paradoxical.
Is PKR trying to say that Haziq is an important component of its leadership?
PETALING JAYA: PKR is issuing a show-cause letter to Muhammad Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz later today for his alleged involvement in a sex video.
According to the party’s chief whip, Datuk Ahmad Kasim, the Santubong youth head would be given 14 days to respond to the letter.
“The show-cause letter is issued to Haziq for tarnishing the party’s name with his public confession, which has damaged the reputation of the party leadership.
“We also take note of party deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali’s denial, and will examine his explanations, if any.
“We will wait for investigations by the police or any other relevant authorities,” he reportedly said after a political bureau meeting at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

To say one minute that his actions ‘damaged’ the party leadership and for the leadership itself to deny knowing him is as contradictory as it is paradoxical.
Is PKR trying to say that Haziq is an important component of its leadership?
Why would one be so harsh as to accuse Haziq of being the source of shame when the correct thing to do would be to protect him, investigate if he was in a state of duress when making the confession and launch a preliminary probe to discover what truly happened?
Despite the repeated denials by Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali and Rafizi Ramli of their associations with the Santubong youth chief, multiple stock photos and Twitter communications appear to suggest the opposite.
How can a leadership that lies about its associations with another be capable of treating that other fairly?
