KUALA LUMPUR: The positive and friendly meeting between United States President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak not only reflected the high level of respect US government had for Najib and Malaysia, but also exposed the lies spread by the opposition parties in the country.
Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the meeting which took place at the White House on Tuesday, exposed the lies and slander hurled at Najib by the opposition, including former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
“They once said that Najib would be arrested if he went to the United States, even the plane would not be allowed through the country’s airspace,” he said in a statement today, adding that the US Department of Justice (DoJ) report, which was speculated by the opposition to be a hot topic of discussion, appeared as a non-issue at the meeting.
