KUALA LUMPUR: In the past, DAP vehemently opposed MPs and assemblymen hopping to other parties, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
However, when facing the issue of party hopping now, Dr Wee said some DAP leaders are just putting up token statements to voice their objections while the rest of them found it sufficient to remain silent on the issue of defectors.
He added that the DAP, which has 42 parliamentary seats, six ministers and seven deputy ministers, only made token statements when facing such issues.
“Is this the only thing a ruling party is capable of?
“Now both of them are in the same boat,” he said in a statement Wednesday (Feb 13).
Dr Wee is urging Lim not to be quiet and to give an explanation.
