TTF: Oh sure, you suddenly ‘remembered’ that Malaysia has different value systems than those in the western world (see news item below).
But when your own daughter and the rest of the Braddy Bunch in Pakatan went to the media and streets singing LGBT this and LGBT that, you developed a serious case of meningitis and were in bed, weren’t you?
Or was it syphilis?
Tell the truth for once, can you not?
Tell Malaysians that the whole LGBT thingy was a sham, that the plan was to divert our attention while you and your so-called strategists cajoled UMNO MPs in hopes of bringing them over to PPBM.
You’re now pushing the panic button and attempting to gain favour from PAS just to prevent the Islamic party from working with UMNO.
Go on, tell me what I’m saying is a lie.
On 20th of August 2018, I wrote:
We have legitimate reason to believe that Dr Mahathir Mohamad issued a directive for Pakatan Harapan leaders to play up the LGBT issue.
The purpose of the directive is to shift conversations away from the coalition’s many failures and blunders, including Daim Zainuddin’s failed China trip, Japan’s refusal to extend Malaysia a loan, China’s decision to impose a temporary ban on new deals with Malaysia and Pakatan’s failure to fulfil its election manifesto within a hundred days.
Ten additional reasons have since developed for the LGBT issue to be played up, including the Malaysia-China diplomatic bomb that exploded right in Mahathir’s face during his recent trip to China.
Mahathir is yearning for a national scale street protest by or before November 2018.
The minute that happens, he will trigger a nationwide swoop before announcing that “all measures taken by Pakatan to ensure freedom of speech and expression have failed.”
He will blame the Najib administration for bringing about “a moral decay to our society” and will probably accuse the former premier of planning the protest himself.
He will then convince the rakyat that the government needs to “temporarily” enforce strict laws to keep in check “peace and harmony” until such a time that order is restored.
As we speak, he already has a new Bill drafted that will see to the return of ISA or a similar law under an emergency resolution he plans to table in parliament.
So please, ignore the LGBT issue.
Why didn’t you open your mouth then?
PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today told the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) that Malaysia has different value systems than those in the western world.
He said while the government agreed with Suhakam on certain issues, Malaysia could not accept the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture and same-sex marriage even though they were considered as basic human rights in the West.
“Suhakam has presented its proposals to us just now, including one on amending the Suhakam Act.
“While we agree with Suhakam (on certain things), we have to remind Suhakam that Malaysia has a different value system than the Westerners.
“For instance, we cannot accept LGBT as well as the marriage of man and man or woman and woman.
“The concept of family remains the same – that it (constitutes) a couple with their own children or adopted ones to be considered as family,” he said after the Special Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption (JKKMAR).
Other than that, he added, it would not be considered as a family.
In July, Suhakam was reported as saying that the government must stand up for everyone while firmly upholding the principles of equality and non-discrimination in accordance with the Federal Constitution.
All human beings including those from the LGBT community should be provided access to among others, education, employment, housing and healthcare services without discrimination, Suhakam chairman Tan Sri Razali Ismail had said.
