The DAP has repeatedly trained its guns at Muslim majority parties and organisations while supporting Churches, Christian organisations and Chinese chauvinist associations such as Dong Zong even as these establishments cross the line.
From racially-toned slurs to unrealistic calls targeted at Muslims and the Islamic way of life and administration, there never has been a shortage of insults and (or) demands from DAP leaders that clearly disregard the need to address inter-racial and inter-religious issues tactfully and diplomatically.
It is high time that Kit Siang stops behaving as if the people are a bunch of nitwits who cannot see the obvious. He must remember that it is his DAP that went out of its way to flood the internet with fake news while opposing any attempt at introducing anti-fake news laws.
Even the tone with which Kit Siang is calling for change reeks of extremism. Instead of coming clean on the DAP’s past misgivings or calling for discussions towards establishing middle ground, he is seeking action for the very crimes his DAP is prone to committing.
PETALING JAYA: Lim Kit Siang cannot escape the wrath of netizens and hope that his sins would be forgotten by pretending to be the victim of libel and fake news.
The DAP adviser, whose son is probably the biggest purveyor of fake news and disinformation, is also responsible for the spate of tensions bordering on Islamophobia that has threatened to disrupt the peace and harmony many Malaysians yearn for.
For him to plead that the government curbs the spread of fake news and hate speech on social media is absolutely hypocritical and utterly nonsensical as the “hate-speech selective outrage Machine” was built on the DAP’s aversion towards UMNO, PAS, the Malay Muslims and Islamic causes.
It is the DAP that regularly kick-starts this machine and fuels it before sitting back with arms folded and pretending as if nothing happened while netizens go at it in frenzy, determined to see justice served.
The DAP has over the years adopted an “insult first, apologise later” strategy that has seen countless instances of damage being done to the fragile interracial tolerance in this country.
The party has repeatedly trained its guns at Muslim majority parties and organisations while supporting Churches, Christian organisations and Chinese chauvinist associations such as Dong Zong even as these establishments cross the line.

Its quite like how he and his cohorts demanded Dr Zakir Naik’s deportation. Instead of seeking to meet the preacher to get an explanation, he and his ‘comrades’ resorted to calling Zakir all sorts of names that infuriated the Muslims without giving a hoot how the community felt.
That, in my books, is the makings of a true extremist.
