Lim Lip Eng, Lim Kit Siang, whatever – a DAP MP is never home to serve the people

TTF: From Bandar Melaka to Kota Melaka to Petaling and back again to Kota Melaka, Lim Kit Siang is one DAP politician who can never stick to one constituency. In 1986, he hopped over to Tanjong before ending up in Bukit Bukit Bendera 13 years later. In 2004, he landed himself in Ipoh Timor before making a long-distance jump all the way to Gelang Patah. And just when you thought the hopping has stopped, speculation is rife that he’s going to take on MCA heavyweight Liow Tiong Lai in Bentong come GE14.

They’re all of a colour, these DAP fellows. Like the shameless Lim Lip Eng who is everywhere but the Segambut constituency he represents, people in Gelang Patah don’t really seem to relate to Kit Siang simply because he’s never home. As far as DAP leaders are concerned, a general election is merely a gateway to parliament not for the benefit of the people, but to satisfy their egos and ideological fantasies.

Don’t believe me?

Well, just hop over to Segambut and ask the locals if they’ve seen Lip Eng around these past four years. Instead of helping the poor fix leaking roofs or finding ways to resolve flood woes, he’s busy sticking his oars in stuff he hasn’t a clue about. On the 28th of March 2014, he took a potshot at government by requesting that a DAP leader be made “commander of the air force or navy,” which, according to him, was the only way MH370 could be found.

The callous remark earned him the ire of netizens who chastised him for politicising the airliner’s disappearance. Not only did he refuse to apologise (he only expressed ‘regret’), he was never reprimanded by Kit Siang who, just days earlier, urged Barisan Nasional to set aside political differences amid the crisis. The Gelang Patah MP stood silent as Lip Eng toyed with the emotions of family members of missing crewmen and passengers who were hoping against hope that their loved ones would somehow be found.

Now tell me, is this what you’re voting these DAP fellows to parliament for?

That’s the question you ought to ask yourselves the next time you decide to cast your ballots in their favour. Kit Siang has absolutely no interest in the broken roofs of Gelang Patah folk the way Lip Eng couldn’t give a hoot if Segambut were flooded. The general election is merely a springboard for them to launch their egos to Putrajaya, that’s all.

Believe me, these fellows have hearts of stone and aren’t interested in your problems or grouses. Just ask Teresa Kok – wasn’t it she who insulted the family members of slain armed personnel who were martyred defending Lahad Datu against an incursion in 2013? Tell me, does that bxtch even have a heart??

BENTONG: MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai is ready to face DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang if it is true that the Gelang Patah MP intends to contest in Bentong.

Liow said as a people’s representative who had done good work in the constituency since 1999, he was confident of the continued support of the voters there.

“Lim Kit Siang is fond of jumping from one place to another… first in Penang, then to Gelang Patah (Johor), all did not last long because he did not give good service… that is why we do not care where he wants to go, it does not matter if he wants to come here (to contest). We are ready to face him,” he told reporters after attending a Chinese New Year celebration at Batu 1 Flats, Jalan Tras here today.

He said the people were aware that Lim did not just fail as a people’s representative in the places he won, but also did not have a definite stand in politics.

“The people are also confused how Lim Kit Siang who was so angry with (Tun) Dr Mahathir (Mohamad) more than 22 years ago, can now hug him, and how Dr Mahathir can do likewise.

“This is purely a show put up to get the support of the people, both of them praising each other to clean up their previous images,” added Liow.
