KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will record former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s statement at his home in Jalan Langgak Duta, at 8am Tuesday.
Najib’s lawyer, Datuk Harpal Singh Grewal, said MACC has so far agreed that the statement will be recorded at the house, and not MACC’s headquarters in Putrajaya.
“We will nevertheless provide more information if there are any developments on Monday,” he told a press conference in front of Najib’s home in Taman Duta, on Saturday.
Asked on whether Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor is also under investigation, Harpal said he has not received any information of the sort.
Last Tuesday, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was quoted as saying that he expected charges to be leveled against Najib following a probe on the alleged abuse of 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) funds.
