KULIM: Pakatan Harapan pro-tem chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he is yet to decide whether to contest in the 14th General Election (GE14).
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Chairman said there is no urgency for him to decide on the matter as there are ample candidates to represent the party in the GE14.
“As I have said, I will only consider contesting in the next general election if the party is a pressing need for me to do so.
“However, I can see that we have many capable candidates now to represent the party, so I am not much worried about making a comeback in the general election,” he said after attending Kedah PPBM Aidilfitri open house here today.
Present are PPBM president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his deputy Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
The former premier was responding whether he is making a comeback into mainstream politics by contesting in the next general election. This follows his appointment as the Pakatan Harapan’s chairman recently.
