PETALING JAYA: The daughter of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir has slammed the participants at the anti-Icerd (International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination) rally.
Melia Serena posted a picture on Instagram Stories with the caption: “Disgusting. Take all offence, I don’t care. Extremely disappointing.”
She also said that Vision 2020 was gone because of “all of you”.
TTF: Melia, Vision 2020 is down the drains because your grandfather, Tun Dr Mahathir, decided to rub shoulders with the racist and chauvinist Lim Kit Siang just to wrest control of government from the Malay Muslims.
It was he who spiralled the country’s thriving economy downwards by souring Malaysia’s relationship with China, the worlds largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity.
It was also he who scared the bejesus out of investors with stylised debt figures and debt-to-GDP ratios, costing the nation tens of billions in foreign direct investment in a matter of mere months.
On the 2nd of November 2018, TTF wrote:
Malaysia lost roughly RM12 billion in foreign capital outflow since Pakatan took over as federal government.
On the 6th of August 2018, Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Ong Kian Ming admitted that a further RM16.4 million was lost through the withdrawal of three foreign direct investment projects from the country.
These investors bolted due to the stylising of economic data by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Ministry of Finance.
For instance, on the 24th of May 2018, Malaysia’s highest paid Member of Parliament, Lim Guan Eng, falsely alleged that the country’s debt was over RM1 trillion and that the national debt-to-gdp ratio had surpassed the 80% mark.
Not only were these very badly concocted fantasies, a report by Moody’s quickly rubbished the claim by putting our Debt-to-GDP ratio at a healthy 50.8%, meaning, Najib left Mahathir with a very vibrant economy.
As a matter of fact, the ratio had never once exceeded the 55% mark under Najib but way surpassed the 80% mark under Mahathir in the nineties.
By lying about the country’s circumstances, the Prime Minister deliberately plunged prices of shares in key government-linked companies to allow his cronies to snap up stock left behind by frightened investors at dirt cheap prices.
It was a ‘forced’ rationalisation exercise of sorts, really.
These irresponsible acts by your grandfather caused the value of our ringgit to suffer a catastrophic plunge and forced Bank Negara to pump RM60 billion worth of its foreign reserves just to buoy the local unit.
As a matter of fact, ever since your grandfather took over the reins of government, many local busses suffered steep declines in revenue and were forced to relocate outside the country.
It was he who polarised the nation back in the eighties and nineties by pitting the Malay-Muslims against themselves in a bid to consolidate his position of power in UMNO and government.
It was also primarily due to him that the DAP consistently attacked Islam and turned the Chinese against Muslims.
There remains a great deal of animosity between the the Chinese, Indians and the Malay-Muslims to this day despite claims by the Pakatan Harapan government that it succeeded in bringing the races together in the spirit of mutual tolerance and harmony.
The recent riots at the Hindu temple in Subang Jaya is proof that the government’s claim of this being a “better and united Malaysia baru” is nothing but fantasy, conjured in the minds of voters just to create the delusion that the Indians and Chinese regard the Malay-Muslims as family.
Tell a typical Indian breadwinner that his son or daughter should be allowed to marry a Chinese, and he may compromise.
Tell the same fellow that his son or daughter ought to marry a Malay-Muslim, and see what happens.
His wife may commit suicide.
So don’t give me this crap about 812 being the reason Vision 2020 can no longer be achieved.
The rally was a peaceful one-day event that saw 1.5 million Malay-Muslims take to the streets, telling the DAP that “enough is enough, we’ve just about had it with you.”
There is no way in the world the rally could have derailed Vision 2020 no matter how hard anyone tries to spin the event.
If there is one man to be blamed for jeopardising Vision 2020, that man is none other than Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, your grandfather.
It is he who sold the Malays down the river by rubbing shoulders with Kit Siang, not us.
In another Instagram Stories post, Melia who seemed to be responding to those who had sent her direct messages due to her earlier post slamming the anti-Icerd protesters, said it was disappointing to see how people from her own race could be so “hateful, discriminating and be such bullies”.
“One thing they don’t agree on, they’d immediately stalk you and say the most hurtful things just because they are triggered and bothered.
“If you think commenting negative stuff would make me regret what I said or make me feel bad about myself, you’re fooling yourself really. I’m really just chillin,” she said.
TTF: You’re speaking the way a munafiq would speak.
Only a munafiq will tell such untruths about fellow Muslims.
I hope you repent.
On Saturday (Dec 8), a rally was held to celebrate the government’s decision not to ratify the United Nations convention.
Opposition leaders were present at the rally including former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
The government had decided not to ratify Icerd amid rising protests by opponents who claimed that the United Nations human rights agreement would jeopardise the special rights of Malays and bumiputras in the country.
