Queries on a possible Cabinet reshuffle should be referred to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed, said Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi.

When asked if he is worried about his own position, as online polls showed that he is poorly ranked by the rakyat, Mohamaddin said that he is not worried for his ministry.

“I am not worried, why should I be? If you want me to do work I will do work, if you don’t want me to work, anytime. Why should I worry?

“What I know is that my performance (KPI) is around 100 per cent. But I don’t know if something close to 100 per cent is good or bad.”

KUALA LUMPUR: Queries on a possible Cabinet reshuffle should be referred to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed, said Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi.

Mohamaddin was responding to reporters who had asked him what he knew of a rumoured Cabinet overhaul following the resignation of a Bersatu minister.

“I don’t know (about that). You have to ask Tun Dr Mahathir if there is a Cabinet reshuffle or not,” he told reporters at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTic), here, today.

Nevertheless, the Warisan Lahad Datu Member of Parliament brushed off the likelihood of a reshuffle.

Yesterday, Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik resigned from his post effective today (Jan 3), after receiving advice from the Prime Minister.

On Nov 21 last year, Dr Mahathir said he has the final say in “axing” anyone from Cabinet.
