Muhyiddin plans to trigger no confidence vote against Mahathir

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) has agreed to spread its wings to Sabah, said its chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today.

The prime minister said the Sabah chapter of PPBM would be established soon and the person to head it would be determined later.

TTF: Actually, not many are aware that the person who resolved to keep PPBM from entering Sabah was none other than Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, party president and presumed Mahathir apologist.

Truth is, Muhuiddin has long been against team Mahathir-Mukhriz and has been plotting with Shafie Apdal against the Prime Minister.

On the 25th of December 2018, TTF wrote:

Everyone knows that Warisan comprises almost entirely of Sabah Bumiputeras and is well suited to be a part of PPBM.

Shafie formed the party on the pretext of it being a platform to champion the cause of Sabahans but had always intended for Muhyiddin to trigger its merger with PPBM.

The whole idea of keeping PPBM away from Sabah was to prevent Mahathir’s and Mukhriz’s influence from reaching the East Malaysian state.

And poor Mahathir actually thinks that the plan for PPBM not to contest in Sabah was some sort of a brilliant strategy Muhyiddin worked out all by himself.

Sometimes, I feel sorry for the old man.

Here I am, getting all the right intel and seeing things crystal clear, and there he is, oblivious to all the goings on around him.

I think the old man is finally wising up.

He has somehow discovered Muhyiddin’s plan and is now strategising his own people’s entry into the heartland of Sabah politics.

Christmas last year, Muhyiddin pointed out that Warisan needed to first settle negotiations with former UMNO leaders and members in Sabah before PPBM could arrive at any decision with regards to its entry into the East Malaysian state.

“I have informed Shafie to do the negotiation first, let them join Warisan so that there will be no clash in terms of the party’s interests … our party and others,” he said, adding that issues regarding the party’s membership should be resolved in a good way by establishing mutual understanding.

Muhyiddin wanted Sabah UMNO MPs to join Warisan to prevent Mahathir from luring them into PPBM.

He then planned to use these MPs and Warisan as a bargaining chip to negotiate his own promotion as deputy premier in place of Wan Azizah.

Once in the number two spot, he planned to trigger a motion of no confidence in Parliament together with Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim to boot Mahathir out from government.

I honestly think the old man took my cue.

Addressing the media after chairing a meeting of the PPBM Supreme Leadership Council here, he said the primary reason for PPBM to establish its Sabah chapter was to enable Sabah Umno members who had quit their party to join PPBM.

He said these former Sabah Umno members did not wish to join Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), the Sabah ruling party which is friendly to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition that comprises PPBM, PKR, DAP and Amanah.

“A problem arose when the Umno leaders quit their party and Sabah Umno was dissolved. They did not wish to join Warisan and wanted to join PPBM,” he said.

TTF: That is half accurate.

A significant number of them were also offered bribes by Mahathir’s men while others were blackmailed with corruption charges.

Dr Mahathir said those who wanted to join PPBM would be subjected to a tight screening.

“The three conditions we have set are that they must quit Umno, become independent elected representatives for some time, and they will have to undergo a tight selection process, individually and not as a group,” he said.

TTF: I don’t need to tell you why this is a load of crap.

Imagine, a pukka criminal telling others that they need to follow the right path.

Mahathir actually believes that people are still buying his drivel.

That strategy of repeating a lie 1,000 times until it is believed to be the truth may have worked prior to the 14th general election, but the online community is wising up.

Even Lim Guan Eng is finding it difficult to convince netizens that the national debt is RM1 trillion and has finally given up recycling that lie.

Like I said, the rules towards GE15 are going to be very different from GE14 and will see old school thinkers and politicians gradually fade into obscurity.

Dr Mahathir said PPBM was spreading its wings to Sabah not to challenge or oppose Warisan, which was led by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Shafie Apdal.

He also said that anyone could join PPBM in Sabah except the members of fellow component parties of PH, namely PKR, DAP and Amanah, and Warisan.

Asked whether the decision to open the Sabah chapter was discussed with the Warisan leadership, Dr Mahathir said there was no necessity to do that.
