Mukhriz: Armada expo member must face disciplinary committee over ‘clarity’ demands

PPBM members must protect the party and not criticise the party leadership

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Youth exco Muhammad Hafiz Azhar must face the party’s disciplinary committee for his demands that two senior PPBM leaders clear the air on their respective ‘personal issues.’

This was the opinion of PPBM deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, who believes that there are rules that must be followed.

All members, he said, including those holding executive positions in the Armada (Youth) wing, upon joining had to swear an oath to protect the party.

“When someone violates this oath, it is a serious issue.

“We are dealing with this by using the rules of the party. We hope the disciplinary committee will take the appropriate action or suggest what actions that the party leadership should take,” he told reporters here today.

Earlier this week, Hafiz had urged PPBM chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, to step forward and clarify issues surrounding the wealth of his children.

Hafiz had asked Dr Mahathir to clear his name over the issue of his family’s alleged fortune.

He had also asked PPBM president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to clear the air over his alleged relationship with a married woman.
