Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) has labeled Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s cabinet a failure in its first 100-day of governing the country.
Pejuang president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir claimed that Ismail Sabri’s administration appeared to be repeating the shortcomings made by the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
“All we can see is that this government tabled a RM320 billion budget, the biggest ever in our history but the expenditure and execution is nowhere to be seen.
“It seems to me this government is going back to the old BN era where they (the government) spent a lot but the people did not enjoy the tangible benefits,” Mukhriz told reporters while attending a walk-about session in Tanjung Dawai, part of Pejuang’s tour in the Merbok parliamentary constituency today.
SUNGAI PETANI: Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) has labeled Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s cabinet a failure in its first 100-day of governing the country.
Pejuang president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir claimed that Ismail Sabri’s administration appeared to be repeating the shortcomings made by the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
“Fail.. I give them an ‘F’. In the first 100 days in power, what has been achieved by this government?
“All we can see is that this government tabled a RM320 billion budget, the biggest ever in our history but the expenditure and execution is nowhere to be seen.
“It seems to me this government is going back to the old BN era where they (the government) spent a lot but the people did not enjoy the tangible benefits,” Mukhriz told reporters while attending a walk-about session in Tanjung Dawai, part of Pejuang’s tour in the Merbok parliamentary constituency today.
Mukhriz further claimed that Ismail Sabri’s cabinet was just carrying out policies laid out by the previous Pakatan Harapan government.
“Yet, the implementation is so weak,” he added.
Mukhriz was commenting on Ismail Sabri’s announcement yesterday that the his cabinet ministers have scored a 90 per cent mark in their overall performance in the first 100 days of the current administration.
On Pejuang’s membership recruitment drive, Mukhriz claimed that the party was getting favourable response, especially from the youths.
“Over 50 per cent of our members are youngsters, this is a good sign for Undi18.
“In fact, our membership growth is way faster compared to when we formed Bersatu (Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia) back then.
“It is quite surprising given that there are many political parties out there,” he said.
He added that the biggest Pejuang membership was recorded in Kedah, Sabah, Johor and Selangor, but stopped short at divulging the latest membership numbers.
