Former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan has been appointed member of the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) board of directors.
Musa’s appointment comes just two days after he tweeted that those who accept positions in government-linked companies (GLC), public services or political positions must serve the rakyat and not for personal interest.
His tweet was an apparent response to an audio leak featuring a voice that sounded a lot like Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The voice was heard suggesting that Umno leaders be enticed to join PPBM with promises of positions on the Cabinet and Government Linked Companies.
PETALING JAYA: Former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan has been appointed member of the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) board of directors.
According to a news report, USIM congratulated Musa on his appointment which took effect on the 15th of May 15 2020.
The appointment is effective until the 14th of May 2023.

The voice was heard suggesting that Umno leaders be enticed to join PPBM with promises of positions on the Cabinet and Government Linked Companies.
Based on the recording, PPBM leaders were encouraged to convince Umno Members of Parliament to switch sides with hopes that PPBM would become the largest Malay party in government.
“If they know a new government is going to be formed with Umno, why not tell them join us now rather than later? I think if we do that… 10, 20 people… Najib and his gang… and we give them positions… if not ministers, then chairmen of GLCs.
“They might not want to be left out. Rather than stay now and become opposition, they want to be a part of the government,” the voice allegedly said.
