TTF: On the 30th of August 2018, Dato’ Seri Azam Baki of the MACC announced that renewed investigations into 1MDB were 60% complete and that the gathering of evidence and the recording of statements were complete.
This was more or less what the MACC under Dato’ Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull hinted soon after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election.
If indeed the gathering of evidence and the recording of statements were complete, something is terribly wrong.
It has since been proven that a statement entered in a 2015 investigation paper prepared by Shukri himself contradicted a denial by former Bank Negara Governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz.
On the 3rd of July 2018, Zeti denied having any knowledge of the RM2.6 billion that entered Najib’s personal bank account.
But Shukri’s 2015 paper stated the exact opposite, saying that it was Zeti who suggested to a representative from Saudi Arabia that the money be entered into Najib’s Ambank account.
What this means, is that Zeti had either lied to the MACC in 2015 or lied to media earlier this year.
Despite this, the MACC failed to call her in for questioning in its so-called “renewed investigations into 1MDB” despite having called both Najib and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to record their statements.
As a matter of fact, the correct thing for Shukri to have done would have been to resign as MACC head following Zeti’s remarks to allow himself to be investigated by the anti-graft agency.
Shukri’s failure to do so and Najib’s arrest by the MACC today reaffirms what I said on the 13th of July 2018, that a conspiracy does exist to throw Najib under the bus.
The arrest that took place today and the coming departures of UMNO MPs was planned even before the 14th general election and was already anticipated to happen this week.
These events were planned to coincide with Mahathir’s five-day visit to the United Kingdom (UK) prior to his address at the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Mahathir is in London as we speak.
Everything that is happening today is to pave the way for the formation of a new coalition government by the end of this year.
The new government will probably be led by Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali if everything works out according to Mahathir’s plans.
Nothing anyone said or did these past few months could have derailed those plans as his people were working beneath the shadows to trigger UMNO’s collapse while distracting everyone with non-issues.
The LGBT issue was a non-issue.
The SST, failure to abolish tolls, PTPTN and everything related were distractions to keep people occupied while they worked to negotiate deals with certain MPs.
Everyone was trapped by these issues.
It was only at the eleventh hour, after holding back for weeks, that an attempt was made to inform MPs that they’re being manipulated.
Had we not done so, UMNO would have collapsed on Malaysia Day, the 16th of September 2018.
KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
His arrest is related to a case involving 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), involving RM2.6 billion deposited into his personal account.
MACC, in a statement today, said Najib was arrested at the commission’s headquarters at 4.13pm.
The anti-graft agency said Najib will be charged under Section 23(1) of the MACC Act 2009 after obtaining permission from the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
“Najib will be brought to Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court at 3pm tomorrow.
“MACC will also cooperate with the police in having his statement recorded before he is brought to court tomorrow to facilitate the investigation under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001,” the statement said.
Najib had before this faced three money-laundering charges under AMLA 2001 and four other amended charges in relation to RM42 million of SRC International funds in his personal account.
The three deposits, amounting to RM27 million, RM5 million and RM10 million, were deposited into his AmIslamic account between Dec 26, 2014 and Feb 10, 2015.
