#TTFCovid19: As of noon today, only 38 new cases of Covid-19 infections were reported, bringing the total number of cases in Malaysia since the Coronavirus pandemic began to 5,780.
This was announced by Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah during his routine media briefing on the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia.
According to Hisham, no deaths were reported overnight. He added that the latest number of those discharged was more than double the number of new cases reported.
Yesterday, Hisham noted that the number of cases in Malaysia had peaked last week below the 6,300 mark, forecasted for the 14thof April 2020.

This was announced by Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah during his routine media briefing on the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia.
According to Hisham, no deaths were reported overnight. He added that the latest number of those discharged was more than double the number of new cases reported.
“The total number of COVID-19 infectivity cases stands at 1,820 cases,” he said at the daily COVID-19 media briefing here today.
The death toll remains at 98 cases or 1.70 percent of the case tally, he said.
Malaysia is witnessing a downward trend in number of cases and is on a “path to recovery.”
Yesterday, Hisham noted that the number of cases in Malaysia had peaked last week below the 6,300 mark, forecasted for the 14thof April 2020.
Much of Malaysia’s success has been attributed to the government imposed Movement Control Order (MCO) which came into effect on the 18thof March 2020 and is set to enter its fifth week.
