Pakatan Harapan has embarked on a mission to become a case study on how to lose an election.
It is mind boggling how a political coalition which is made up of supposedly seasoned politicians can steer their political vehicle unto the highway, see oncoming headlights and still keep going. While doing so they are saying to each look at them; their driving the wrong way!
Such is the problem when you believe that you are correct and those who do not side with you are wrong.
DAP-led Pakatan Harapan in its various forms has been trying to get Malaysians to believe that they (Pakatan Harapan) are headed in the right direction and that the Prime Minister and those who are with him are not only wrong, but are the cause of Malaysia and the rest of the world’s woes.
To prove their point, they point to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). Although there is no evidence to the contrary, DAP-led Pakatan insist that a crime has been committed and that the Prime Minister is the beneficiary of said crime.
However, when it comes to such issues as how Bank Negara’s loses were covered as the result of forex speculation; Lim Kit Siang and others seemed to have lost his way over the issue.

Before Lim Kit Siang started his bromance with Tun Mahathir, he would have been in front of the media daily over the possibility of EPF funds being used to cover BNM loses.

Further to that; Lim would have also wanted an inquiry into how Mahathir and family have amassed so much wealth in such a short period of time.

The DAP-led Pakatan real ‘Top-dog’ has to explain the reason behind his apparent U-turn from the zeal he once had over these issues which have produced more red flags than 1MDB could ever produce.
Lim Kit Siang and his DAP-led opposition’s blunder is that they focused all their attention on a non issue (1MDB). They did this hoping that it would become an issue while at the same they chose to time close their eyes to real issues like BMF because it was politically expedient to do so.
Adding to Pakatan Harapan’s case study on how to lose an election is their setting themselves as the clean political standard bearers. The rakyat saw very clearly how DAP-led Pakatan insisted that Prime Minister Najib step down over the investigation into 1MDB, but yet they did not require Penang Menteri Besar Lim Guan Eng to do likewise.
Rounding off Pakatan’s case study on how to lose an election is in how they (PH) have nothing to offer. Of course they throw out sugar coated promises like scraping then keeping then scraping again the Goods and Services Tax (GST) no tolls or similar items that people use when they want to buy a child’s affection.
They also have nothing to show the rakyat in way of leadership. Pakatan Harapan has not been able to name someone who is not in prison for sodomy or well pass the age of retirement to be their potential Prime Minister candidate.
Looking at Pakatan Harapan’s various blunders and miscues along the way; there is little surprise that they are becoming a case study on how to lose an election!
