On the 2ndof July 2020, UMNO secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa said his party would name Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as prime minister for the upcoming general election.
According to Annuar, UMNO shared the same stand as PAS in their support for Muhyiddin as prime minister following a meeting between the two parties mid June.
“During the meeting, we agreed to name him as the prime minister if we win the general election.
“The message of support will also be conveyed to our members through our own party channels,” he said.
That was then.
Yesterday, Annuar played a completely different tune, insisting that UMNO could have its own Prime Minister candidate for the upcoming general election.
Do you know why?
Because UMNO’s Team A has been conning PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang all this while.
Truth is, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi literally do not give a damn about Hadi or PAS.
I could have said this months ago, but preferred not to. I wanted to see how far Muhyiddin’s stupidity would get him and how far Najib and Zahid could go.
And now I that I know everyone is everywhere and nowhere all at the same time, let’s start from the very beginning and see what this mess is all about.
I’ll try to keep it as simple as possible, so here goes:
1. On the 2ndof July 2020, Annuar said UMNO would name Muhyiddin as prime minister for the upcoming general election.
2. Yesterday, the same Annuar said UMNO could have its own Prime Minister candidate for the same general election.
3. Truth is, Zahid had long settled his differences with Najib and agreed to name the latter as Barisan Nasional’s Prime Minister candidate.
4. But the duo knows that winning the 15thgeneral election is akin to picking up the telephone, dialling Helle Berry’s number and getting her to agree on a weekend getaway in Timbuktu.
5. So, the mission was to break PKR up, collapse Pakatan Harapan, form a new coalition with Muhyiddin and prevent both that coalition and Pakatan Harapan from winning the 15thgeneral election.
6. To accomplish this, someone from UMNO was sent to poison Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s mind against Datuk Seri Azmin Ali in hopes that Azmin would detach himself from PKR and join Muhyiddin.
7. As for Muhyiddin, someone from PPBM itself was tasked with poisoning his mind so that he would agree to work with Azmin, listen to Azmin and pull PPBM out from Pakatan Harapan.
8. To make things happen, Najib and Zahid needed to make sure that PAS, which was in talks with Mahathir prior to the collapse of Pakatan Harapan, would not abandon UMNO and join Mahathir.
9. So Team A sold PAS the idea that Mahathir could still become the Prime Minister of a brand new Malay-Muslim led coalition without the DAP, AMANAH and PKR.
10. Using this excuse, Najib and Zahid convinced Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan and another PAS leader that there was no need to register Muafakat Nasional, as everyone would eventually sit in a new coalition that could ultimately be registered.
11. Hadi, being the simpleton that he is, fell for this trick.
12. Truth is, Najib and Zahid refused to register Muafakat Nasional because doing so meant UMNO would have to nominate Hadi or Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man as deputy prime minister should Muafakat Nasional actually win the 15thgeneral election.
13. Zahid was dead against the idea as his premiership ambition was at stake.
14. His agreement with Najib was him to become deputy prime minister and take over from Najib after two or three years.
15. As a result, Hadi was conned into thinking that PAS, UMNO and PPBM could complete the 14th parliamentary term as a registered Malay-Muslim coalition with Mahathir as Prime Minister.
