KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali looks set to retain the PKR deputy president post for a third term after the unofficial results of the party elections showed he led his challenger Rafizi Ramli with a majority of 3,956 votes.
According to the unofficial final results uploaded on the Pemilihan Keadilan 2018 Twitter account, Azmin, who is also Economic Affairs Minister, received 70,550 votes compared to Rafizi who obtained 66,594 votes.
“These unofficial final results are excluding 1,718 votes in Pensiangan, Sabah which have not been coordinated with the data via cloud (storage) as well as the number of votes in Julau, Sarawak,” it said.
It also uploaded the unofficial results for PKR’s elections pertaining to its two wings, namely, Wanita and Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) or youth.
For the post of PKR Wanita chief Haniza Mohamed Talha won with a majority of 3,607 votes when she obtained 29,111 votes defeating her rival Fuziah Salleh who garnered 25,504 votes.
Meanwhile, Dr Afif Bahardin secured the post of AMK chief with a 314-vote majority defeating his two contenders Akmal Nasir and Najwan Halimi.
Afif received 16,672 votes, while Akmal Nasir and Najwan Halimi each garnered 16,358 and 3,309 votes respectively.
