TTF received information that rallies are being planned all across the country to retaliate action taken by PKR against vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin.
Meanwhile, a local daily reports that simultaneous rallies in ten states — Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Melaka, Perak, Johor, and Negri Sembilan — have been planned by Zuraida’s supporters.
On Tuesday, a group of 46 PKR elected representatives demanded that all charges against Zuraida be withdrawn “with immediate effect.”
The faction, aligned with Azmin and Zuraida, comprised 15 MPs and 28 state assemblymen, all of whom said the show-cause letter against the latter was issued in bad faith.
PETALING JAYA: TTF received information that rallies are being planned all across the country to retaliate action taken by PKR against vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin.
Meanwhile, a local daily reports that simultaneous rallies in ten states — Kelantan, Pahang, Terengganu, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Melaka, Perak, Johor, and Negri Sembilan — have been planned by Zuraida’s supporters.
According to the daily, Zuraida will be giving a press conference along with her supporters at the party’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Selangor at 12.30pm after submitting her reply to the party’s show cause letter.
A well placed source told TTF that the planned rallies would also seek to pressure PKR number two Datuk Seri Azmin Ali to overthrow Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim via an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM).
The party’s disciplinary board has reportedly been investigating misconduct involving Zuraida, believed to be related to a speech she delivered during a dinner gathering at Renaissance Hotel on the 8thof December 2019.

The faction, aligned with Azmin and Zuraida, comprised 15 MPs and 28 state assemblymen, all of whom said the show-cause letter against Zuraida was issued in bad faith.
The group also condemned the actions of PKR Youth’s leadership which saw the sacking of seven central Youth wing leaders for not attending party meetings.
