TO ALL CONCERNED
Lim Guan Eng called for stern action today against Gagasan Tiga (G3) for what the Star Online reported the DAP Secretary-General as saying were “false and malicious accusations (made by G3) to incite racial discord.”
Mr Guan Eng was also reported by the daily as saying that G3 intended “to fan and incite (racial) sentiments so that more (people) will come on Dec 8 (for the anti-ICERD rally).”
I wish to note, in my capacity as Chairman of Gagasan Tiga (G3), that the coalition’s “Lembaga Pengarah Kebangsaan” had stated in no uncertain terms during its 21st of November 2018 convention and press conference that G3 was not a racist, and that its immediate mission was to “declare war” against the DAP.
In light of this, I wish to state, in no uncertain terms, that the allegation that G3 intends “to fan and incite (racial) sentiments so that more (people) will come on Dec 8 (for the anti-ICERD rally)” is itself a “false and malicious accusation” made by Lim Guan Eng, the very person who alleged that G3 made some “false and malicious accusations.”
As per the request for an apology, G3 will issue an official statement on the matter 48 hours from this day, the 22nd of November 2018, by or before 5 pm Malaysian time.
I wish to reiterate, though, that G3 is adamant that the ICERD polemic was played up by the DAP with the intent to question the special privileges accorded to Malay Muslims.
