Prime Minister in waiting Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad more or less confirmed today that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and Datuk Seri Azmin Ali’s camp left Pakatan Harapan to collapse the Federal Government.

Mahathir also confirmed that he had never invited or intended for UMNO as a party to join the Federal Government or a new coalition and was focused on individual Members of Parliament.

Previously, TTF had made note of the fact that the Federal Constituion of Malaysia was ‘party blind’ insofar as the appointment of the Prime Minister and Cabinet members go.

It is also a fact that Mahathir had never invited UMNO or the DAP as parties to join any coalition or government, meaning, Tan Sri Annuar Musa was either lying or was unaware of circumstances when speaking to media yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister in waiting Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad more or less confirmed today that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and Datuk Seri Azmin Ali’s camp left Pakatan Harapan to collapse the Federal Government.

Mahathir also confirmed that he had never invited or intended for UMNO as a party to join the Federal Government or a new coalition and was focused on individual Members of Parliament.

“If Bersatu supports PAS and Umno, therefore the losing parties will form the government. This government will be dominated by Umno as the largest party.

“I can accept Umno members who wish to be part of the ruling government by joining other parties, but I cannot accept having Umno, which has the most parliamentary seats as a single party, in a ruling coalition.

“I do not look for something that is liked by many. I will do what I think is best for the country.

“Whether it is right or wrong, politics and political parties must be set aside for now.
