Interim Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal is unfazed by Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) president Datuk Seri Anifah Aman threat of legal action over claims of land belonging to Yayasan Sabah.

Shafie, who is Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president, claimed the party has details that Anifah’s family had secured contract for land that belonged to Yayasan Sabah.

On Monday, Shafie revealed two land contracts owned by Yayasan Sabah which were given for a period of 100 years to family members Tan Sri Musa Aman and Datuk Seri Anifah Aman in 2015 and 2018.

According to a report, the land, which covers an area of 11,000 hectares and 50,000 hectares, is located in the Kalabakan Forest Reserve which was given to Jawala Plantation Sdn. Bhd. (Jawala Plantation) and Rentak Hasil Sdn. Bhd. (Result Rhythm).

KOTA KINABALU: Interim Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal is unfazed by Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) president Datuk Seri Anifah Aman threat of legal action over claims of land belonging to Yayasan Sabah.

Shafie, who is Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) president, claimed the party has details that Anifah’s family had secured contract for land that belonged to Yayasan Sabah.

“We will reveal all the contents. There’s a company owned by Anifah’s family and a factory operating on that land.

“Let (Anifah) bring the matter to court. We have all the evidence,” he told reporters after launching state-level Malaysia Day celebration here, today.

Prior to that, TTF helped expose documents revealing an application for 20,000 acres of land for a company belonging to Musa in his capacity as Chairman of Sabah Foundation, with the help of Datuk Osman Jamal, then the Director of Land and Survey Department (JTU ).

The allegation arose following the transmission of a letter from JTU dated the 20th November 1997 showing that said company, Corak Nakhoda Sdn Bhd (Master Pattern), applied for 20,000 acres of land for agricultural purposes.

The documents suggest that Musa and Osman were embroiled in a huge land scam deal in the state of Sabah and abused their powers for the purpose of helping Musa’s company get the land.

This is so since the application by Corak Nakhoda was made while Musa Aman was still the Chairman of the Sabah Foundation while Osman was still the Director of the Land and Survey Department.

The documents help shed light on why Osman is so ‘angry’ with Shafie’s decision to hand over the land grant to the people of Sabah.

Apparently, Osman himself was involved with the approval of the land to Musa’s company and may have had vested interests in the land.

Yesterday, Anifah said he would take legal action against Shafie after the elections over the latter’s accusation that he, his older brother Tan Sri Musa Aman, and family members had secured a 100-year contract for land that belonged to Yayasan Sabah.

Anifah described the allegation as Shafie’s desperate move to win the state election, calling the move as unethical and unprofessional.

The former foreign minister also advised Shafie to stop paying dirty politics by involving people’s family.
