Met YAB Lim Guan Eng at the judge’s chambers at the Duta courts complex today at 4pm.
We negotiated and settled my defamation suit against him and his counter claim.
We both agreed to drop the suits and I stand by my original statement that he was delaying his own corruption trial although he had told several times that he was looking forward to clear his name in court.
He had made a statement saying I had defamed him and wanted to sue me.

But he didn’t and I ended up suing him instead.
Now the issue has been settled and I get to keep my original statement. This means I had not defamed YAB Lim, which he had alleged in his statement and threatened to sue me for. The settlement also means he is no longer to sue me over that statement in future too.
I am happy with the outcome of this settlement and consider this a success.
